Hello.

I've been trying to run the Windows Update for the last few days and I keep getting the Error # 0x800A138F.
Could you please tell me what I can do to bypass that error and check for updates?

Thanks for your help.

Steff

P.S.: WinME/IE6.0.2800.1106

Had this problem, was due to Norton Internet Security
(firewall) not loading properly. Mine problem just went
away after a sucessful reboot of NIS.

Hello Henri.
I've gone through the troubleshooting station, tried everything I could
think of.
Am I the only one who's experiencing this problem or is that a flaw in the
WindowsUpdate site?
Thanks again.

For anyone who had the same problem:
for the moment, the solution is to add an " s " to http in the WindowsUpdate
site.
Don't know why, but it works that way.
Bye for now!
Steff :)
