BitDefender's BDSWITCH.EXE tries to carry out an update. This includes a
registry change. WindowsDefender Beta 2 blocks this and waits for me to take
action on this. I tell it to allow it. That results in a 95% slowdown in
computer response until I restart the computer. I can then tell BitDefender
to carry out the update which it does.
This permission does NOT show in the allowed actions window under tools.
That window never has had anything in it except white.
How can I set WindowsDefender to always allow this program to do what it
needs to be able to do?
I found a similar question on the forum, however, the only reference to the
fix/patch/work around/etc was "see Hugh". A reply such as: "See Hugh's reply
in topic thread <insert topic title> posted <insert date> would make searches
possible.
