Windows2000 can not support OVER 128GB IDE HDD?

I'm using Windows2000 Adv. Server Verison.
in the windows2000 Adv.Server can not detect my 180GB WD
IDE HDD, only detect it for 128GB, But i try to use in
Windows XP isn't to happen this problem.

I'm also to try edit the registry
(HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\atapi
\Parameters) add the EnableBigLba registry value to 1.
But also can not to solve it.

I'm also to try to deleted for all the HDD data for a new
to creat the partition, but also same as problem.

Any people can help for me to solve it.

Hi Bbok,

I had the same problems, when edited the register it's was
stil not working.
Remove the line from the register and use Big disk enabler
from Maxtor;
http://www.maxtor.com/portal/site/M...TA Hard Drives&downloadID=11&displayEULA=true
This will edit the register en then your 180Gb will be detect.
Keep in your mind that you need SP1, and that the bios will
detect the correct size.
