I had virus in my computer and got it cleaned up. After I put my windows CD
back in I'm unable to write a letter. My product key says that its incorrect.

Your post is almost unintelligible. I'm guessing that you did a clean
install of Windows XP (your operating system) and now are having
difficulties installing a word processing program. But that's just a
guess. Read the information at the link above and then post back with
all pertinent details to get focused help.

Write a letter using what software? what is the error? common, some useful
info is going to help here.
