Hello

I'm using XP Embedded SP2 and I've noticed some problems with fonts. On some
software I install, part of the install GUI will be missing, or perhaps some
fonts always appear in bold, when they don't appear that way on XP pro.

The windows fonts folder is identical to a XP pro machine. Is there
something else that I'm missing, or a good way to troubleshoot this?

Thanks

In Feature Pack 2007, there is support for a Fonts Application Compatibility
component and there is Codepage Application Compatibility component. Try
adding these to the image. If they don't work try adding WMI support.

I've got WMI already added, so I'm going to eliminate that for now. Is
there any tool I install on a existing XPe imagine that may be able to help?
Since my XPe image is intended to look and feel like XP pro, is there some
type of utility that can tell me the differences when I run the app?

Jason,

Even if you went with the XPProEmulation image (http://km-dev.blogspot.com/2007/03/xpe-tip-3-xpproemulation.html), it would be the
same as XP Pro. Many differences - from installed 3rd party apps, to predefined settings (registry, etc.) and some XP Pro only
components.

Tool.. It is all about XPe development. You may want to use DependencyWalker (especially the Profiling feature of this tool),
Process Monitor and such. Here is the list of some useful tools for XPe:
http://km-dev.blogspot.com/2007/03/xpe-tip-1-with-xpe-development-you.html. And the continuation:

And you can try and use the XPe Image Difference Engine tool: http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/embedded/aa731258.aspx.
