I was wondering if anybody could help me. I previously
had Windows 98, with powerpoint installed, and i upgraded
to windows XP. Is it just me or does windows XP not have
powerpoint? is it under a different name?
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Lani,

Windows 98 and Windows XP are "operating systems" (nothing to do with
surgery). They do not include powerpoint. Which has to be purchased and
installed.

All you need to do is re-install powerpoint from your original cd/disks

Windows 98 didn't have PowerPoint, Windows XP doesn't have PowerPoint.

Windows, in any version, is the operating system. PowerPoint is a program
that runs within the operating system.

Your computer may have come with a version of Office that included
PowerPoint as well as Windows 98. Installing XP probably required you to
reformat the hard drive, and that would have wiped out Win98 and any
programs that came with it. If you have an Office or PowerPoint CD, you
could reinstall it into Windows XP. If no CD, you may be out of luck and
have to purchase a new copy of PowerPoint or Office. I hope not.
