I have a new computer with Windows XP and Office XP, and I
am getting very frustrated with it. 1st) How can I
receive .exe files w/o Office XP making the decision to
block them for me because of "potential" corruption. I
would like to receive these files. 2) When I switched
computers, my old operating system was Windows 98 and
Office 97. I paid Best Buy to copy the old computer to
the new one thinking that it would come out being the
same. Boy was I ever wrong. I have a file on the desktop
of my new computer that says oldpc and this is where my
Address Book is at. I have found the files, but they
are .wab, and I can't find where to put them in the new
operating system. HELP????

Outlook doesn't use a .WAB file, and it never has -- that's an Outlook
Express file type. But don't worry; your data is probably safely stored in
a .PST file. Look at the following two articles for more help with this --
one is a primer on Outlook files, and the other gives instructions for
moving to a new Outlook 2002 machine.
