I have Windwos XP Professional installed on two (2) of my PCs. I need to
re-install windows by formatting disk. I am not sure which disk is installed
on which PC. How can you tell which version of Windows is installed on which
PC.

Thanks

I had windows xp installed when I purchased my computer. After a virus
crashed my system, a friend repaired it for me and gave me a new windows xp
prof however there are now 3 copies of it on my system. I tried many many
hours and many suggestions to uninstall the 2 os that are causing conflict
with the os that is functional. Please advise me how to uninstall when that
is not an option in my control panel. thanx kindly Carmen C.

How are determining that Windows has been installed 3 times?

Is it possible that what you're seeing is the setup directory provided by
the oem, another setup directory provided by your friend and then the
actual Windows installation?

Or are you presented with a boot screen offering three different XP choices
at startup?
