I now run windows xp but i have files saved on floppy
when i ran windows 95 on an old computer. How can i read
these files. Does anyone know a simple solution.

First, you need to have the applications or applications compatible with the
file types in which those files were created installed on your new computer.
If you have those applications, check to see if they are compatible with XP
or install versions of those applications that are compatible with XP.
You'll need to visit the applications maker's website for that information.

If those applications are installed on XP, copy the files to a folder on
your hard drive and either double click the file or open the application in
which they were created, go to File, select Open and navigate to where the
files were coped and select the file.

This is not a function of the operating system, 95 or XP, this is a function
of the application in which the file(s) were created.

.
1 Put in your floppy Disc, Click Start
2 Click My Computer
3 Look for Devices with Removable Storage
4 Click on your 3 1/2 Floppy Drive Icon
5 Your folders should pop up, click on one
Good luck
