how can i delete windows xp ? i need details. not to
computer savy.

Unless you're using a dual boot, XP is your operating system. If you
"delete it," nothing will run until you reinstall it or install another
operating system. Your plans could change what method will be
recommended.

Also, wat you're going to do next could mean that all of the files -
program files, personal files, everything - will need to be removed.
Have you taken this into consideration as well?

You can use the bootable XP CD. Go through the setup steps as if you're
going to do XP setup. Select the partition that holds XP. If it is formatted
NTFS, delete it. Recreate it. Format it using a file format suitable for
whatever you're going to put on to the system. Then back out of setup by
cancelling it. Install operating system of your choice.

Alternatively, there is a wide assortment of boot disks at www.bootdisk.com
that can boot the system and prepare the hard drive for the next operating
system that you will load up.
