Somehow I have a second copy of Windows XP on my hard drive. I installed one copy , but my registration time expired so I can no longer log onto it. I installed a new copy and I thought it overwrote the old copy. When my computer boots up I can see both copies. I have checked my hard drive and only see one hard drive (no partitions) and one windows folder. How can I find and delete the previous copy??

Hi Norsman,

Run WindowsXP you prefer
Go to the control panel
Go to System Properties
Go to the Advanced tab
Click on the Settings button next to Startup and Recovery
Click "edit" to edit the startup options file manually

Delete the extraneous information about the operating system you want to delete, it will stop it from asking you to choose an OS to boot.

Just be careful since they are both XP, you have to figure out which one you have to delete.
