installed xp on my computer. then installed it using the
same cd on my other computer--could'nt activate of course-
- was going to buy another system waited too long to do
so and now windows will not let me go to start so i can
delete xp. have my old system to re-install but can't .
how do i do this?

At startup it asks which platform should load.

To uninstall Windows XP so that Windows ME is the only OS boot up

Using a WinME boot disk, at the Dos prompt type sys C:
This will return control of the boot process to C: and WinME.
Then delete C:\NTLDR, C:\NTDETECT.COM, C:\BOOT.INI,
C:\BOOTSEC.DOS, and C:\PAGEFILE.SYS. Delete or reformat the WinXP
directory/partition, as applicable. Remove the startup diskette and
reboot.
