david

when i try to open a program i get the following message:
"there is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into
drive\Device\Harddisk\DR\". If I click on "retry" or
"cancel" once or sometimes two or three times, the program
will open. Any suggestions as to why this happens and what
I may do to stop this from happening?

Could be normal behavior for your system's hardware. If the hard drive is
allowed to "standby" after X minutes of idle time, it may need a bit of
time to spin up before you can access files on it. Clicking Retry works as
soon as the drive is operating at normal speed.

May want to try adjusting the settings for the hard drive(s) in Control
Panel> Power Options. Increase the idle time allowed or change the setting
to Never.
