Hi everyone:
I have tried EVERYTHING I can think of to find what could be causing
this and how to fix this but DESPITE having gone back to the Windows XP
default settings, I **CANNOT** seem to get EITHER of my browsers to show
the colors of the pages I visit on the web.
I dunno what I did, but I can NO LONGER see backgrounds. Here's a list
of the browsers I have and their builds...
* Mozilla Firefox - Version 3.0.1 (My default browser)
* Internet Explorer - Version 7.0.5730.1315 (Additional info. available
on request)
* Mozilla SeaMonkey - Version 1.1 Build 11
* Netscape Navigator - Version 9.0.0.6
* Opera - Version 9.26 Build 8835
* Apple Safari - Version 3.1.2 Build 525.21
* Google Chrome - Version 0.2.149.29 Build 1798
In addition, I have the old MSN Explorer AS WELL AS Windows Live, three
IE clones (Avant, Free Source & ProgrammableTabBrowser) & one Firefox
clone (Flock).
NOT ALL THESE BROWSERS ARE RUNNING AT ONCE!!! Though when I can't get a
page to open without crashing with one browser, I'll often try one of
the others (Except of course Apple Safari & Google Chrome since they're
not stable releases as of yet) as more often than not, this typically
does the trick.
The rest of my specs. are as follows....
* AMD Duron 1 Ghz. CPU
* 512 MB RAM
* ATI RADEON 9250 3D Graphics Card (32 bit color quality, 1280 x 1024
screen resolution)
I don't have any problem with my desktop background environment (Just
that on web pages).
In each of the browsers, I have them set to show system colors, yet they
STILL don't respond. IE still has the black background I gave it
earlier this year when I switched to the dark environment, but I
switched back when I realized how difficult it was to use IE with that
environment (Thank you Microsoft for NOT realizing the need to
AUTOMATICALLY make color changes to such things as HYPERTEXT LINKS and
DIALOG BOXES for each theme! *Grrrr!* I would've figured EVEN YOU
would figure out this need BY NOW, but I guess I was wrong).
Anyhow, I'll be happy to post screenshots if needed as I sure would LOVE
to get this problem resolved.
