Windows XP/Windows 98 and HP 7130 all in one

I have a laptop with Windows XP, a PC with Windows 98 and
a HP 7130 all in one and a HP Lazer Jet IIIP. We are
trying to network. At present, we can print from both
computers to both printers, we can scan from the 7130 to
the PC but can't scan to the laptop. No one seems to know
how to fix this problem. We are real estate appraisers and
need to be able to scan to both computers. Any ideas? We
called HP and we called Microsoft and...to no avail. Any
help would be appreciated.

This could be an inappropriate or failed driver installation. See
