I think of buying a new PC when Windows 7 comes out. But, some of my favorite
games are incompatible with Windows Vista (even in compatibility mode), I
guess Windows 7 will be incompatible too. I will not be able to install XP
and dual-boot if a buy I new PC , because I have an XP OEM license. Can
someone give me an advice what should I do ? What I think of is:

1. Find XP retail from somewhere on the internet and buy it.
or
2. Buy XP OEM and Win7 OEM when buying the new PC (is it possible?)
or
3. Buy XP OEM and Win7 retail when buying the new PC

Any suggestions ?

And my last question - let's suppose I bought XP (Home), will it work with
Core i7 processor? Will I still be legal, as XP supports 1 to 2 cpu's, and
Core i7 has more than 2 cores ?

Thanks!

Windows 7 won't be out for a while so make a list of what you want to do.
Then, verify what you want to do can be done by Windows 7..

Dual boot is old. You might want to consider virtualization. As for OS
versions and how to get it, wait and see what happens 8-10 months from
today.

You're confused. CPUs and Cores are 2 different things.

How do virtualization?
