My son's PC will not boot. He appears to have installed all sorts of antisoyware etc. The PC will boot tp the icons page and thereafter I cannot open the PC any further. How do I get the PC to boot so I can enter system restore and reset the PC?

Try getting to system restore using Safe Mode. If that don't work come back but we will need more info about your pc, see the sticky at the top of the forum.

Boot into safe mode my pressing F12 or del on most pc.

Does windows even load up at all?

I totally support what Thanhtan's link mentions - that's exactly what I would do if I ran into issus like that.
