There are no problems with Windows XP and "Office 98" because "Office 98"
is a Macintosh version of Office that can only be installed on a Mac.

You need a "PC version" of Microsoft Office to run on Windows XP,
such as Microsoft Office 97, 2000, Office XP, or Office 2003.

don't think it is possible as Office 98 was designed to run on a MAC?

do you mean windows 98 and XP? If so you should always install the older OS
first as a rule of thumb!

Greetings --

Microsoft Office 98 was designed and coded to be used exclusively
on Apple computers, and won't work on a Windows OS. However, you can
install and use Office 97, Office 2000, Office XP, and/or Office 2003
on a WinXP-based system.
