Hi-

In regards to user accounts: I checked an option for
protecting files and favorite. I
removed a program from my Administrator User Account
and the same program was removed from the other
Administrator User Account. Please be aware that I realize
that a program from a CD is not the
same as a picture file or favorite.

Question: What must I do in order to stop a program from
being removed from the other Adminstrator User Account, or
does Windows XP Log on work strickly for files and
favorites?

Thanks in advance for your help.

The rules are

Programs installed (uninstalled) by administrators are either for All Users
(common) or it will ask on install All Users or Just You (rare in practise).

Programs installed by users are always per user. But many programs can't be
installed by a user so usually nothing happens.

Older setup programs may install per user cos that was all they knew about.

It's up to whoever wrote the program what happens, if they follow the rules
or ignore.
