Is there a way of disabling tooltips in Windows XP? I edited the
registry key:

HKEY_USERS/.DEFAULT/Control Panel/Desktop

to say 3E 00 00 00, but tooltips are still on.

Start>help and support. search for balloon tips. You
should get the ms article:
