How do I enable Windows XP to auto-boot everyday?
Please note that I'm not looking for a reboot, but an auto-boot where
windows is completely shutdown and starts by itself.

Please note that my bios doesn't have an option to auto-boot. any tips,
tricks appreciated.

If the BIOS wont start the computer how do you expect windows to start up??
If you are trying to do this because your tired of waiting fot XP to
load.....dont shut the system down.
Just turn the monitor off and leave.
When your ready to use it again.......turn the monitor on and move the
mouse.....instant on

If it is not in the bios, you push a button to start the computer. It has
"nothing" to do with Windows XP, or any other operating system. It is a
computer hardware function.

well, I'm looking for an alternate, automated solution that will boot up the
system automatically everyday and in case of power outage instantaneously
without pushing a button.
The systems are remote and hard to access. the easiest way to boot the
systems is to cut the power and resupply power. ultimately, the bios would be
programmed to start windows instanteneously upon power on/off, and boot the
system everyday at designated times.

I'm willing to upgrade bios or replace computer components if need be.

Thanks

The BIOS does not start Windows - it starts the computer.

Check with the motherboard manufacturer to see if there is a BIOS upgrade
that would allow for remote starts.

If your present computer's bios will not do what you want, you need to
replace the motherboard with one that has a bios chip that can be programmed
to do so.

I have my ASUS board programmed through the BIOS to start up every
morning at 5:30Am.

I am certain other board makers BIOS also offers this if you dont care
for BIOS ASUS offers. (Award)

That would answer your issue I would think.
