Although by default the task bar appears on the bottom of the screen, it can
be on any of the sides you prefer it on. To move it from any side to
another, simply click on an unused part of it and drag it where you want it.
Be sure to click *within* it, not on the edge; clicking on the edge and
dragging will resize it

If it won't move, it may be locked. In that case, right click on it and
uncheck "Lock the taskbar," then try again.

First of all, unlcok the taskbar by:

1. Right-clicking on Taskbar and uncheck "Lock the Taskbar" option.
2. Uncheck all the Toolbars available on the Taskbar by clicking in empty
area of the Taskbar and point to "Toolbars" and uncheck if any available.
3. Now, increase a little bit size of your Taskbar by moving your mouse
pointiner to edge of the taskbar.
4. While placing your pointer center of the Taskbar and drag immediately it
to the location you want it.
5. Later, check the toolbars back you uncheck using the same procedure.

Hope this information helps you, let us know!

they put the lock to avoid people doing this sort of thing.. and yet they
are still moving the taskbar around!

They should have put a taskbar lock timer option to make it fool proof

after x min automatically lock the taskbar (option only!!!)

had they given me one week with the guys who started designing vista,
vista would be a true revolution.

I love improving things
