Windows XP Starup Screen (Bios) is off set after latest update

After updating Windows XP Pro, the Windows XP screen at
startup is off set. Whe the log on screnn appears, it is
fine. What may have caused this problem? How can I fix it?

The Windows XP startup screen has nothing to do with your BIOS.
Sounds like your starup montior refresh frequency has changed, although I
have never seen this happen.
