Windows XP Startup

When I start Windows XP I must hit the delete button to continue on with
startup, how do I change this setting?

You are seeing white text on a black screen, right! That is way before
Windows even begins to load. You have a hardware/bios issue that you must
sort out!
 
That is correct, white text black screen. So how do I go about solving this
issue?
 
What is the precise error message you are seeing? Be exact!
