WinXP SP2 (with latest updates)
IE 7 (with latest updates)
ADSL Broadband (always on)

Windows Start-up issue:
When I boot my PC, the WinXP Firewall is disables automatically. It
remains disabled for about 5 minutes. During this time my Model Gateway
sees the internet and I can ping any internet site. However, IE7 can
not connect to the internet. After about 5 min, the WinXP Firewall
enables and i can connect to the Internet using IE7.

What is causing this?

please help....

Found the Problem.

It is basically IE 7.
IE 7 is not compatible with my VPN Software (from Array Networks). My
VPN Service takes ~5min to start during PC Boot startup. (The service
is set to start automatically).

Two Solutions to my problem:
1) Ditch IE 7 and use IE 6 again.
2) Use alternative VPN Software (e.g. from Cisco). This is not the
preferred option as Cisco is FAT Client Server Software and Array
Networks is THIN browser plug-in install Software.

Yet again.....Microsoft. You guys are tops!!!
