I installed a Haupauge Win TV Go card... while installing,
Windows XP declared that it had not passed the logo
testing and recomended canceling the installation. I
clicked cancel and as it uninstalled itself, it took with
it my system. Windows XP in India couldn't help me repair
the dump without a start up disk... but this public
library is running windows 2000... I need to find a
windows XP at a library or my college campus (50 miles
away and during Winter break)so that I can download a
start up disk... and then I may not be able to get past
the "Administrator" blocks.... I own Windows XP
Professional and don't want to lose all my work on the
hard drive. Help
Next option... my previous hard drive with Windows XP has
the blaster virus that counts down from 60 seconds....
do I dare set it up as a master (it is an anti-static
baggie)and get a start up disck off of it or use it to
reinstall whatever I've lost from this corrupted hard
drive that has the Blaster work protection?
I'm heading for the next library down the road 30 miles...
and will check for an answer... Respectfully Douglas
