On a Dell Precision T3400 workstation with a SAS raid card with two SAS
drives and latest BIOS.
Tried last known good configuration, safe mode, VGA mode, different graphics
card, removing the sound card etc.
Tried in the recovery console running a chkdsk /R, fixboot, fixmbr etc
Come what may, the ONLY thing I can get the machine to boot to is the light
blue (teal colour) screen with the standard arrow.
USB or PS2 Keyboard and mouse do not respond at all
When I try and run a Windows XP repair using F6 to load the Dell supplied
driver, setup (in text mode) proceeds until during the repair it asks me to
press enter after inserting the driver in floppy drive A (USB floppy and the
same floppy the system read the driver from after pressing F6) and it does
not recognise the floppy drive so can not continue with the Windows repair.
The Windows Ultimate Boot CD works no issue and I can make changes to the
registry and services through it with no issue at all.
Any ideas please!
