This Computer Club member's Windows XP system with SP3 and some 20 updates
afterwared installed.
When I was originally called on the House Call, the complaint was that the
wireless mouse wouldn't work. She was right. We tried a PS2 mouse. No luck.

I now have it at home and I was successful installing the miniature USB
mouse that I use with my laptop when travelling.

Any help will be appreciated...

Install the latest motherboard chipset drivers...
Ensure the PS/2 ports are not disabled in the BIOS somehow...
It is conceivable the PS/2 port is bad (if you have tried multiple
devices)...

I thank you. Our Club member thanks you.
The PS2 mouse now works. The wireless mouse still will not work, but she
didn't have the installation disk and said that she was grateful that she
could user the computer again.

You're welcome.

As for that missing disk, see if the software is available on the
manufacture's web site or contact them and explain the disk has been lost.
They may be able to provide a solution.
