Hi everyone,
I've a question regarding roaming profils on Windows XP SP2.
I've actually a network with Windows XP SP2 client and Windows 2K3 R2 server
Std Ed deployed.
To increase the fiability of the network, all the users profils are roming
profils stored on a server.
1st Question :
To increase the network fiability i had the idea to use a DFS share to store
the profils, what do you think of this idea ?
2nd Question :
I made some try and i had a problem without answer. I created two shared
directory on two differents servers and added them to my DFS tree with
replication.
The replication seem work very good, and all users have all rights on them
(it's a test yet) on NTFS, share, and DFS. replication is working.
After that, i gone in users and computer console of my server and on the
"profil" sheet of the property of the user "toto", added
\\MyOrg.org\DFSRoot\toto.
When i open my session with this test user, the session is a bit long to
open and when i close it, i've an error message which say me that the
computer
can't write on the directory : \\MyOrg.org\DFSRoot\toto whereas when i m
logged with the user toto, i can work with it, put files, delete them...
Does anyway have an idea of the problem ?
