Hi
I have to ask a very obvious question, but you do have the
on-board graphics adapter Disabled when you have the
Radeon installed?

A search of the MS knowledge base for "graphical artifact errors"
with XP+SP2 produced no results:
http://tinyurl.com/s358q

Likewise with ATI knowledge base and known
error messages - No result:
https://support.ati.com/ics/support/default.asp?deptID=894

Navigate the above site and ensure you have the correct/
uptodate drivers for your Radeon, you could also submit
the exact error message to their support team.
