windows xp sp2 compatibility problem

I would like to find a solution to a compatibility problem with a serial
port-based communications application and Windows XP SP2. It works on PCs
running Windows XP SP1 and Windows 98 but will not transmit or receive on XP
once SP2 is installed.

Look, another one of MS's 'features' of their Dis-"Service Pack"...
Yet another reason why I won't download it... Sorry, some little "SPYWARE
scanner isn't worth all the troubles, when there are other free ones out
there that don't require me to screw up my computer for them to work..
