You can use any Windows XP CD you like, provided you
use the correct Product Key that is not used on another
computer. Note that retail Product Keys only work with
retail CDs....an OEM Product Key won't work with a retail
CD.

| Ive just started at a new firm and on one PC I've installed Win XP
| on a new hard disc - the old hard disc had Win XP Service Pack 1
| installed on it, but I (and no-one else) can find a disc with the update
| on it. The copy of Win XP is 100% legitimate, incidently.
|
| I have a personal disc which has the SP1 update on it, but what I want
| to know is, is it safe to install on it on my work PC without suffering
| some form of "Windows Activation" blues??
