windows xp soundbalster card media player 10 wont work

Hi, I upgraded to xp pro, have a soundblaster card and now the sound doesn't
work in media player. video does and siound works in all other sound progs
(musicmatch, realplayer, dvd software etc etc. the only one that doesn't is
media player 10. Anyone any more ideas... have tried updated drivers, new
drivers etc, all the obvious stuff... and of course now i just dont use
media player, but it would be useful if it actually worked. thanks
