windows xp shuts down and reboots when internet explorer launches

My laptop reboots every once in a while when I start
internet explorer. I have scanned for any trojans or
viruses and my computer is clean. I have also tried to
repair Windows with my original cd. Any suggestions?

I have already scanned my system for the virus and found
nothing. Any other ideas?
