Is it just my system, or do others have significant
shutdown issues after installing the Microsoft
AntiSpyware? My main difficulty is that it takes FOREVER

Hi

Try to remove "the mess" with crap/junk you have within all temporarily
folders.
Use this tool:
www.ccleaner.com

Uncheck "Recently typed URLs" from default setting before
analyze/remove
