When sutting down my XP, all is well, until I get to
the 'windows is shutting down' screen. Then my computer
hangs for about 6/7 minutes.

I have tried closing down all programs first, but this
does not help. Could it be a windows update that is
causing some conflict or problem?

Any help appreciated. Thanks.

Hi there, you say it hangs, what does it do after that time?
restart or finally shut? One thing I had happen was when I
shut down XP it would go to shut then restart again. This
was tracked down to having "Roxio Easy CD Creator"
Updating drivers solved shutdown problems.I thought this
might help!

good luck

Hi, thanks for the advice. It does eventually shut
down. I haven't gor Roxio, so I guess that is not it,
though.
