Ok my problem is that I have a windows 2000 domain setup
and have the xp computer setup in the active directory. I
also have several user accounts set up. The problem is
that although the computer is logged into the domain, when
a user goes to share a file (Right click -> Sharing and
Security -> Permissions) the sharing is looking locally
for user accounts. I know this because under Location: it
says my computers name. I try to enter domain\user but
the computer tells me to correct it. I try clicking
Browse.. in Location but my computer is the only thing
listed and not the active directory. Could it be because
I do not have a dns server set up?
Thanks.
