windows xp service pak 1

windows downloaded the service pak as a update, when it
did it changed the configurations of my computer. my
computer came with ms word pre-installed on it. agter the
sevice pak installed,word was gone, tried to restore but
it didnt work. I also tried the recovery disk and still
no good. I use word alot can someone please help me

Do you mean that Word has been deleted? What happens if you go to Start>Run - then type "winword" - without the quotes and press OK?
