Windows XP Service Pack 2 changes to .NET Framework

While installing Windows XP SP 2, I noticed that several files copied were
actually .NET Framework files (not sure which version).

What's the idea behind this? Have changes been made to the FCL for Windows
XP SP 2? If so, what's the impact? How are users on older OSes going to get
those changes?

Thanks,

Hi,

I read somewhere that a new version of the framework was being distributed
with SP2 , don't remember the exact version though.
I haven;t installed it yet so I cannot tell ou first hand

Make a look in google.

Hi,

The status of the .Net Framework update distributed along with the XP
SP2 CD (DOTNETFX folder) is very unclear. Please read the thread titled:
".Net Framework v1.1 SP1 (SR1)" in this newsgroup.
