Windows XP Security Patch

I know that Microsoft will not support Windows XP or sell XP any more
after May 2009. But will they still release security patches as usual
for XP?

Any comment is much appreciated. Thank you.

Yes. Until April 2010 for SP2 and until April 2014 if you are running SP3.

And let me add that with Windows 7 almost certainly being released
sometime this year, and with April 2014 almost 5 years from now, there
will likely be a new version of Windows around then. That will mean
that by April 2014, Windows XP will be *three* versions (Vista, 7, and
whatever is next) old. So it will probably make very little sense for
most people to continue running it that long.
