Hi,

Sorry if this question sounds stupid & Dumb but iv`e got to ask it.
Has Microsoft fixed this "Windows XP Security Patch: Unchecked Buffer in
UPnP Can Lead to System Compromise" and is the fix included in Service Pack
1 ? I know it`s over 2 years old and i know that Microsoft takes a long time
to plug holes but is this breach fixed ?

Thanks

Greetings --

Not really a dumb question. In matters of computer security, it's
far, far better to be safe than sorry.

This vulnerability was addressed with a Hotfix (315000) prior to
the release of Service Pack 1, and the patch was also incorporated
into Service Pack 1.
