Windows XP screen print enabling

I have scoured the indexes and help facilities but to no
avail. How do I enable the PRINT SCRN key?
 
Pressing PrnScn does not send anything to the printer. It sends a copy of
the screen to the clipboard. Open a graphics program, (even Paint will do)
paste in the image and then print the image.
