I recently downloaded the drivers from Canon's website for the Pixma
MP130 after migrating to Windows XP. After doing so when turning on my
computer, it restarts 3-4 times before I can use it. I have no
problems printing.

A popup window appears saying one of my drivers is causing the problem.
Windows XP was working fine until I installed the drivers.

Any suggestions on how to fix this problem?

Thanks.

Things can go wrong with a download. I'd try a new load of drivers.

Somethig may have gone wrong during the install. I'd go to System Restore
and go back before the install, then try it again.

After I uninstalled the drivers, I did the following:
- manually cleaned up registry settings
- deleted everything in the system32/spool directory,
- reinstalled a driver from a different source
- verified that the files had a digital signature

Still the computer reboots 3 times before I can use it.

Any other suggestions?
Thanks

I'd still try the system restore. You may have missed some file or registry
setting. It is the uncommon stray or error that is probably causing the
conflict, not necessarily the standard files and registry notation you
removed.

It is also possible you have some conflict with another program. Start
closing down some of the processes under Task Manager, then print. Stop
three at a time and see if one batch finally fixes the problems, then narrow
down to the final one.
