You can access/control a XP Pro machine, running Remote Desktop as the host, using the built-in
Remote Desktop client on your XP Home machine. No need to download or install anything.

You can *NOT* run Remote Desktop as a host on a XP Home machine. If you need to access/control your
XP Home machine look at UltraVNC. Get the server, client and a encryption plug-in from...

Microsoft has a free download that works from a 98,2000
machine to Windows XP Pro and terminal server. If you
have XP home it should have the ability to do Remote
Desktop. Find in Accessories, Communications, and it is
called Remote Desktop connection. If not search Microsofts
Web for the File: ClientCTR98982000.exe and install and
it will work.
