Windows XP recycle bin

I purchased a Dell computer with Windows XP already loaded
on it in 2003. I continue to have problems deleting old
files and sending them to the recycle bin. They show up
again as if they were never deleted. I always empty the
recycle bin immediately but it doesn't seem to matter. My
computer tech has tried several things and they still come
back. We are all stumped. In the meantime I have a lot
of old clutter on the system - this is very frustrating.
Any help? Thank you. John

and click on "r", scroll down to the section on the Recycle Bin and see if
Kelly's tips help.
