I am installing a Network application software on a
workstation. The Program is on a Workstation and
the data on the Windows 2000 Server.

The Application is installed on a Windows 2000 Domain.
When I login as an administrator to the DOmain the
application works. However, when I login as the
user of the Workstation the application shows
an error message that indicates that the users
does not have the rights. However, the user is
setup as an Administrator and a Domain user with
all rights to the application directory.

Any sugestions.

Make all users of the domain users group members of the local power users
group.
(Or at least the user.)

You also have to check the registry entries the program uses.. If the user
does not have the needed rights there, it may not work either.

Also, some programs were not designed well and have to be installed as the
user.
