windows XP professional + web server

hello, can anyone tell me if there is an IIS web server
that i can run on windows xp or xp professional. i need to
install a cold fusion server that needs an iis server to
connect to. thank you for any help.

If you have XP Pro you can use IIS.... go to the Control Panel, click on
Add/Remove Programs, then on Add/Remove Windows Components.

Remember that XP Pro is limited to 10 simultaneous connections and that the
IIS 5.1 is also limited to a single website (with multiple subwebs). If you
need unlimited connections and unlimited websites, then the only alternative
is to move to a Server operating system like one of the Windows 2003 Server
family.

Or Windows 2000 Advanced Server

Coldfusion does have a built in web server application, although I doubt it
is quite as effective as IIS or Apache. The Coldfusion Installer gives you
the option of using either IIS or the built-in web server.
