Windows XP Professional and Powerpoint--Magnification, Font type and Font Sizes Invisible

I have Windows XP Professional and Office 2000.

When I start PowerPoint, the small windows in the Standard and Formatting
toolbars which are supposed to show magnification, Font type and Font Size
only display the first character of what they are supposed to have. For
example, I presently have a document where these three windows should have
"75%", "Times New Roman," and "32". Instead, they have "7", "T" and "3".

I have uninstalled and reinstalled Office 2000, but the problem does not go
away. Perhaps there is some initialization file or some Office parameter
file which remains when Office is being uninstalled.

Does anybody know what this might be and how to cure the problem?

Thanks.

I have Windows XP and Office 2000.

When I start Excel, I get a message that says " 'C\Program
Files\xlEmailManager\XL Email Manager.xla' could not be found." I cannot
find the alleged xlEmailManager folder, the file, or anything else
corresponding to this message. I suppose that this information must be
stored somewhere, but I can't find that either by doing a comprehensive
search for words within files.

Does anybody know what this file is (if it even makes sense), or where the
reference resides. It is not a fatal mistake, as I can click OK and then
Excel gets going.

Thanks,

Hi William,

See if this helps:

Start Excel.
On the Tools menu, click Add-Ins.
Click to clear the XL Email Manager check box.

Good luck

Yessss!
