Hi-

I wanted to install the latest service pack update today
and after a partial update the instruction was to do a
system backup first and then continue - go to Next. I
don't have a way of backing up my computer right now -
is it safe to take a chance and do a complete update
install without backing up?

Thanks.

Suggest;
Backup (copy to wherever you can, floppys even) any data-files (documents),
set a 'System Restore' point. Let it go at that.

Usually yes, but of course there is no guarantee for that no problems
will occur.
