windows xp problem

Hi

I have just installed windows xp on a new computer and
decided to load some old games on to play around with.
Problem is I cannot get a sinbgle one to work. The latest
gives me a critical error of a gpf in a bunch of stuff.

I thought that with a new upgraded system, I would be
able to load older games with ease and benefit from the
up to date processor and system to play them better and
faster.

does anyone know of a confllict and a resolution to this
problem? Please email me if you can.

We need some more details. Which games are you trying to run? Are
these titles that were designed to run in a DOS environment?
